What is Spirituality?
Spirituality is something I talk about regularly but I don’t tend to label it as Spirituality. Honestly, up until a few weeks ago, I never really put much thought into the word. That was until I was a guest on a podcast and was asked what Spirituality meant to me *queue deer in headlights*.
I let my intuition guide me and essentially I said that Spirituality is the relationship with yourself and a higher power. I believe it has nothing to do with Religion and is about finding a deeper connection and balance.
I’m curious to know how you define Spirituality?
Did you know if you were to google the definition of Spirituality it would say this:
“the quality of being concerned with the human spirit or soul as opposed to material or physical things.”
What triggers you to deepen your relationship with yourself?
When I think about my spiritual practice, it includes journaling, a hot tea and a lit candle. Every single day. It gets me out of my head and feeling grounded.
If journaling is something you’re looking at getting started with but not quite sure where to start, then check out my YouTube video on How to start journaling (and be sure to check out the description box so you can click on the link to receive your free PDF of Journal prompts).
If after that, you still don’t feel like getting started with journaling, then check out one of my previous blogs about what to do if journaling isn’t your thing.
I talked in my new podcast about Spirituality, what it is and how to get started with it if you’re not sure where to start. Check out my first official episode down below.
Some quick tips I include in the podcast to start a Spiritual practice is:
- Journaling (obviously)
- Walking, Running, Hiking
- Bath or shower
I go into more detail about them in the episode, so be sure to give it a listen.
