I’ve been reading a lot of articles on remote working. How employers are planning to change in the future (if at all), what they’re perception is of us lowly workers and how we’re filling our time. I’m also curious to read what newbie remote workers are saying. Not the digital nomads who have already spent years travelling and needing nothing but a laptop, but those who have been working in an office and suddenly overnight, are 100% remote until further notice.

Personally, I’m a big supporter of remote work, I’ve been doing it for years and I dread the day I’m told I need to go back into an office. I don’t see the need. Not when it comes to completing work anyway. But there are a few things that I’ve been not only reading from others but have been experiencing myself.

As both a seasoned remote worker and an intuitive and spiritual person, I wanted to share tips on how to incorporate more woo into your work day. If you’ve been struggling to find balance or are newer to this journey and not sure where to start, then keep on reading.

Tips For Working Remotely… And Still Being Spiritual AF

Tip #1 – Crystals. Working from home can be stressful, especially if you’ve been struggling with your work day bleeding into your personal time. Keeping Crystals on your desk to reduce stress and increase happiness actually work! Now I want to be clear – if you think nothing will happen by putting a rock next to your desk, then read on to the next tip. I’m not going to attempt to change your mind, you believe what you believe and that’s fine. But if there’s even a part of you that believes in the power of crystals (hey girl hey, me too!) then here’s what I suggest…

Rose Quartz – Send those emails with love while allowing yourself to show YOURSELF some compassion when you get stressed or overwhelmed

Amethyst – I haven’t found a better calming crystal, seriously.

Lapis Lazuli – whether you’re dealing with clients on the regular or you have a boss that you need to go toe to toe with in order to be heard, this crystal is a must.

Support your Throat Chakra by keeping this one close by so you can voice your thoughts, opinions and feelings with ease. Not sure how to use Crystals to support your Chakras? Click here!

Flourite – Ready to get rid of negative energy and stress? Then Flourite is a must. Another bonus is it’s super pretty to look at.

Green Aventurine – What dispels negativity? Aventurine! In fact this crystal has TONS of benefits like being an attractor of luck, enhancing creativity and motivation and releasing old habits. That’s quite an impressive list for such a small crystal.

If you’re going to keep crystals on your desk, don’t forget to cleanse them every once in a while. Also, a company that I’ve found and have been really impressed with is Jewelry Healing. They have reasonable pricing and ship for free anywhere in the world, which I personally appreciate.

How else can I bring more woo woo into my day?…

Tip #2 – Take breaks. I know this might seem obvious but it’s entirely too easy to be stuck at your work computer and get sucked in to all the tasks you need to complete. Take some time to walk away, schedule it on your calendar if you have to; make it a non-negotiable. Haven’t had breakfast yet? Use this break to refuel. Had back to back meetings and facing eye strain? Get away from your devices. Why not go outside? Even if it’s just for 5 minutes to get some fresh air and feel some sunshine on your face.

This might not SEEM very spiritual but it’s all in what you make of it. Take this time to get grounded, practice a mini meditation, use it to do some stretching. Not feeling either of those suggestions? Well you could always use this time to incorporate tip 3. Two birds with one stone

Tip #3 – Talk to Spirit. I know this might sound weird, especially if you’re new to this but hear me out. Whether you want to talk to The Universe, Angels, your ancestors, source… whatever you want to call it, I truly suggest doing it. Not sure how to manage this escalation? Ask your angels to help you. Need the strength to walk away from this big project at work and unwind before bed? Yo, ancestors, hook me up and remind me how important family and/or alone time is.

And these are two VERY important things to remember:

1. It doesn’t need to be formal or made into a big ordeal. They’re listening, they’re around you and ready to support you but they can’t intervene unless you ask them for help.
2. Once you ask for their guidance, it’s equally important to LISTEN. Let you guard down and pay attention to what happens shortly after. Did you get a spark of inspiration? Did the most perfect word just pop into your head? Did your kid just walk up to you and tell you they were hungry? You spirit guides can’t physically control you, but they sure have a special knack for putting things right in front of you to push you where you’re trying to go, just make sure your eyes are open wide enough to see the signs!

Tip #4 – Music. Did you know that music can be recorded at different frequencies? Each frequency has a different meaning (you can read more about that here). Head on over to YouTube or Spotify and listen to the frequency of music that you need or want to embrace. It’s as simple as typing 432Hz into the search.

Not sure what Hz you want to listen to? Maybe you really feel the urge to have some Angelic support or need deep body healing. Type it into the search bar! Honestly, you’ll be amazed at what you’ll find. Try it now… okay not right now, maybe when you’re done reading this. Open up YouTube and type in Archangel Michael music or deep healing music and take a look at the results. If you want to change your frequency, then one of the easiest things you can do is listen to higher frequency music in the background.

Tip #5 – Gratitude. How you do this will depend on your schedule and how much time you want to dedicate to this. Of course, you can write a list every day of all the things your grateful for, or all the amazing things that happened during your day, but I have something different in mind for this tip.

During these hectic times it can be very hard to find the silver lining in… well, anything. So here’s what I suggest… Put a Mason jar and a pad of paper on your desk. Ideally you would want to do this daily, but if you can’t then please don’t stress yourself out. Every single time something good or pleasantly unexpected happens, write it down, rip off the piece of paper and put it into your gratitude jar.

This might seem so simple or a waste of time BUT I practice this so I know it works. Committing to filling your gratitude jar helps you to rewire your brain. You’re now sitting at your desk looking for and expecting positive things to happen. The negative doesn’t impact you as much because either you can see the silver lining or because you know something great is literally right around the corner. And if you haven’t heard yet, being grateful for something brings more of it your way 😉
