Chances are, if you’re here it’s because you’re either new in business and not sure how to best talk about what it is you do so you can get clients, or you’ve been an entrepreneur for a while and you’ve hit a dip and having a hard time landing clients or landing more clients than you would like. When I first started my business I had SUCH a hard time talking about what I did and how I could help people. So as you can imagine, if you can’t explain what it is that you do, no one is really that excited to throw their money at you to get you to help them.
The first thing you need to know about communicating your message to your target audience is Confidence.
A lot of people think confidence is something you’re born with or just comes naturally but honestly, it’s a practiced skill. For example, I used to be terrible on video (seriously, go check out the first few videos I’ve ever posted)…. Actually don’t because they’re terrible. But PRACTICING is what got me so much more confident in front of the camera
I shared a marketing tip on my Instagram stories a few days ago and the tip was honestly to practice practice practice. Even if you need to practice by talking to yourself in the mirror. The more you do it, the more comfortable you’ll be, the more confident you’ll become.
